Cleveland Jewish Archives-Western Reserve Historical Society
The Cleveland Jewish Archives at the Western Reserve Historical Society exists to preserve the history of the Jewish community of Northeast Ohio and to help others acquire a better understanding of that history and its contribution to general and Jewish community life today. Through acquisitions and outreach, the Cleveland Jewish Archives facilitates the work of researchers in family history and community history.
Sean Martin, Curator for Jewish History
The primary activity of the Cleveland Jewish Archives is to collect print and non-print material that documents the history of the Jewish community of Cleveland and Northeast Ohio. This material is then made available to the public for educational purposes. The Cleveland Jewish Archives works with other organizations to promote the teaching and learning of Jewish history.
