The Chesed Center, a program of JFSA Cleveland, is committed to ensuring that individuals and families in the Jewish community are provided the basic necessities that they need, including food, household supplies and clothing, all while respecting their dignity and privacy.

The Cleveland Chesed Center provides:

  • Proteins: chicken, fish, beans, peanut butter, eggs, etc.
  • Grains: pasta, barley, rice, cereal, etc.
  • Fruits and vegetables: fresh, frozen, and canned
  • Cleaning supplies & household products
  • Personal care items
  • Quality, gently used clothing in current styles

Monthly shopping is available to all Jewish clients with household incomes under 200% of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines (FPIG). Those with incomes above 200% of the FPIG will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Weekly curbside produce distributions or DoorDash deliveries for those who are homebound are open to anyone with a household income under 200% of the FPIG, regardless of religious affiliation.
