Friends of the Israel Defense Forces
The FIDF initiates and helps support social, educational, cultural and recreational programs and facilities for the young men and women soldiers of Israel who defend the Jewish homeland. The FIDF also provides support for the families of fallen soldiers.

The Friends of the Israel Defense Force initiates and helps support social, educational, cultural and recreational programs and facilities for the young men and women soldiers of Israel who defend the Jewish homeland.
Since its founding in 1995, the Ohio Chapter has sponsored the Reim Sports Outdoor Court Project which is located 2.5 miles from the Gaza Strip. The Chapter has also underwritten two other key projects:
- Clubhouse at the Navy Base in Rosh Hanikra sponsored by the Krasney Family
- The Elyakim Clubhouse sponsored by the Reisman Family
In addition, the Ohio Chapter has underwritten clubs, mobile gyms, and synagogues all over Israel. We have provided wide range of support and care for IDF soldiers, their families, widows and orphans such as:
- Recreational and exercise facilities
- Mobile synagogues
- Scholarships
- Financial aid
- Summer camps
- Holiday gifts
